Located in the heart of Lofoten

Lyngvær lies in the heart of Lofoten, only 20 minutes from Svolvær Airport and 12 minutes from Henningsvær. Set apart yet close to it all, Lyngvær offers privacy surrounded by nature and quick access to every Lofoten experience.

The lodges are built on former wetlands, a landscape rich in birdlife and shifting light. Eagles, eiders and seabirds are often seen right outside your window. Smooth coastal rocks and small coves shape the shoreline, inviting quiet walks and sunset views by the sea.

Summer brings kayaking, hiking and midnight sun. Winter offers northern lights, skiing and calm evenings by the fire. Every season shapes its own story here.

Experience Lofoten from Lyngvær

Lofoten is Arctic light and steep peaks rising from the sea. Long beaches, small fishing villages and fast-changing weather shape every day. From Lyngvær you are in the middle of it, with nature close and calm inside.

Lyngvær is surrounded by some of Lofoten’s richest natural habitats.

Sea eagles glide overhead, otters move quietly along the shoreline, and moose and grouse live in the nearby landscape. The coastline is alive with seabirds, while the sea holds seasonal marine life. This close connection to nature is part of everyday life in Lofoten, offering rare opportunities for wildlife encounters, calm walks and moments of stillness, all just outside the lodge door.

Why we chose Lyngvær...

Above the Arctic Circle, Lofoten is shaped by powerful weather and rugged terrain. Local knowledge can make a real difference here. Many underestimate how vast and demanding Lofoten can be, which is why we chose Lyngvær as our base and take our guiding role seriously.

Lyngvær Lodges is more than a place to stay

From Lyngvær, you are close to it all. Beaches, hikes, villages and experiences are within easy reach, while the lodge remains a calm place to return to. This is the heart of Lofoten, where nature is always nearby and comfort waits inside.

Lyngvær is designed as a base, not a destination you have to plan around. Spend your days exploring, or slow down and let the weather set the pace. Either way, the lodges give you space to pause, reconnect and experience Lofoten on your own terms.

The lodges are set away from light pollution, giving dark skies for northern lights and star-filled nights. Large windows and quiet surroundings bring the sky into your living room.

Every lodge is made for comfort in shifting weather. Heated floors, natural materials and soft lighting create a warm atmosphere after days outside.

A private wellness experience rooted in Nordic tradition. Step from cold air into the heat, or sit in the warm bath while aurora moves above you.

Designed for more than cooking. Fully equipped with quality appliances and space to gather, the kitchen lets you bring local ingredients and family moments to the table.

From summer hikes to winter nights, the lodges are robust yet welcoming. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame peaks, sea and shifting light, while layouts fit couples, families and groups.

When you book your stay directly, you receive the Lyngvær Experience Card
It gives you special rates and local perks on handpicked experiences across Lofoten. From guided hikes to quiet harbors, the card connects you to the best of the islands.
