Yes, you can - and many of our guests do.
Lyngvær Lodges are located in a quiet area with very low light pollution, which gives excellent conditions for seeing the northern lights directly from the lodge terrace.
The aurora season typically runs from late September to early April, when the nights are dark enough. To see them, you’ll need: Clear or partially clear skies, solar activity and darkness (no midnight sun period).
Please note that the northern lights are a natural phenomenon, so sightings can never be guaranteed. Weather and solar conditions are outside our control. On strong aurora nights, you can often enjoy the show comfortably from outside the lodge — and even from the jacuzzi if weather allows.

The midnight sun season in Lofoten typically runs from late May to mid-July, mind that exact dates vary slightly each year depending on the sun’s position
During this period, the sun never sets below the horizon, meaning you’ll experience 24-hour daylight. The light is especially beautiful late at night, with warm golden tones and calm surroundings — perfect for hiking, photography, and enjoying the views from the lodge terrace or jacuzzi.
