Veggen hike
Veggen rises sharply above Vik and Haukland, offering a dramatic bird’s-eye perspective of both beaches. The trail is steeper than Holandsmelen and demands a bit more fitness, but the reward from the summit is tremendous. This mountain is shaped like a ridge, giving you incredible vantage points in every direction. It’s especially striking in the evening when the sun drops into the sea. Although short, the path can be slippery after rain, and winter conditions require caution. Still, Veggen is a favorite among photographers and experienced hikers.

Only choose hikes that match your experience level, check the weather forecast before starting, and turn back if conditions feel unsafe.
